On site activities
Starting in October, I decided to get a little more creative with the activities I use to attract visitors (especially the younger ones) while at the Aquarium. Up until then, I was providing clip art relative to my questions or to the location where I set up my table.
In October, I tried drawing my own clip art with a Halloween twist.
For November, I have added another medium - glue! Since most of my work uses paper, I like the idea of the visitors building their own pictures with paper and glue (for now). Museum goers can fill up their cornucopia with aquarium critters.
Despite being a little extra work, I find it quite fun to create my own activities, so I think I’ll continue the trend. It helps to have some tools at my disposal, like a die-cutter machine and loads of leftover card stock from when my own kids were younger.
